Driving Traffic With Twitter
April 29, 2009 by Mark Widawer · 2 Comments
It’s never too early.
Even if you’re right in the middle of developing your product, it’s not too early to start thinking about traffic.
And these days, if you’re thinking about traffic, you’re thinking about Twitter.
I have never seen anything sweep through both the internet marketing landscape, and main stream Americana, the way Twitter has.
Tonight, I was watching a local newscast (which I NEVER do…it was on right after a ballgame) and there was a news report about a car accident. During the report, the anchorman says to the reporter “Joe on Twitter asks which intersection that’s closest to.”
Can you believe THAT?
I was pretty surprised. But I guess I shouldn’t be.
Because people are using Twitter in all sorts of ways. A friend of mine, Maria, just did $250,000 in sales of her coaching course — entirely launched on Twitter.

Bonus - Big Idea Consultation for Women’s Health
April 16, 2009 by Mark Widawer · Leave a Comment
Whenever I do a private consultation, I never really know how it’s going to turn out.
That’s particularly true when I do a BIG IDEA consultation for a member of the Big Bucks Ebook Accelerator program.
Just as John Carlton focused his effort on his copywriting client before he discovered the story — his “hook” — about the one-legged golfer, it can take quite a long time to delve deep into an ebook idea to refine, discover, or invent a BIG IDEA for an author.
That said, the session with Christia Sale was fairly quick.
She started with an idea about Women’s happiness, nutrition, and health, and ended up with Read more

April 1, 2009 by Mark Widawer · Leave a Comment
On today’s Ebook Accelerator call, during the Q&A at the end of the call, one of our members asked about how to set up a blog.
Well, the truth of the matter is that setting up a Wordpress blog is easy, if you know how. If you don’t know how, it’s like staring at Mt. Everest, wondering how you’re going to climb it.
Do you need to hire a guide? Is it expensive? Is it difficult?
This video should answer those questions for you, and more. And what you’ll discover is that you can set up your first Wordpress blog in just a few minutes.
By the way, this video is part of my Stupid Easy Traffic course, which you can learn more about here: http://www.StupidEasyTraffic.com (It makes traffic sooooo easy, it’s “stupid easy”).
And here’s the link to the Blog setup video.

“Knowing your customer” is probably the most important skill in marketing.
Unfortunately, it’s also one of the least studied.
That’s why Prospect Xray is so important. This important, concise book will help you truly understand who your customer is, what they’re thinking about, and what motivates them to buy.
It’s a bonus for you as part of the Ebook Accelerator program.

Bonus Audio - The Million Dollar Man
March 19, 2009 by Mark Widawer · 3 Comments
Back in the 70’s there was a TV show called the “Six Million Dollar Man.” He was half man, and half machine. He didn’t need to build muscle — they were just built in for him.
Well, I happen to know a lowly ONE million dollar man — Vince Delmonte.
I’d put Vince up against Lee Majors (the star of the Six Million Dollar Man tv show) any day, because Vince has written his own ebook and built his business into a million-dollar a year enterprise.
And Vince had no prior experience, no marketing experience, and still can’t put up a web page on his own.
In other words, he’s probably a lot like you used to be — or still are.
I interviewed Vince just last week and during the call we talked about a lot of stuff — all of which will likely be of interest to you.
* Vince’s story
* What his Customers really want
* How writing his second book was easier
* Which traffic method is best
* Making Money as an Affiliate
* How much does he really make?

P.S. If you’re in the Health or Fitness business, or want to get into that Niche, consider promoting Vince’s products as an affiliate. You’ll be surprised to know that he pays out 75% of every sale to his affiliates!

Unleashing the Ideavirus - The World’s Most Popular Ebook?
March 8, 2009 by Mark Widawer · 2 Comments
In the Big Bucks Ebook Kickstart Webinar, I talked about a concept that might have been new to you.
It was the idea about your own ebook centering around a BIG IDEA of its own.
Do you remember that part?
If not (and you’re a member of this website), go back and listen to the webinar again…and skip right to the BIG IDEA section in the index, because this is IMPORTANT — in fact, it’s CRITICAL to the success of your ebook’s marketing.
Everything depends on it.
You gotta have a BIG IDEA.
Now, what if your BIG IDEA took on a life of its own? What if your BIG IDEA somehow, miraculously, spread from person to person automatically and by itself.
How would that change your business?
Your business would grow in Read more
Bonus Audio - Finding a (new) Hungry Crowd
March 5, 2009 by Mark Widawer · Leave a Comment
During the Kickstart webinar, I told you about a private consultation I had with a man named Mike. Now it turns out that Mike is a technical kind of guy, and thought he only had the right (or expertise) to write a book about what he already knew about.
But it turns out that isn’t he case at all.
At least, it’s not the case if Mike wants to make any money with his ebook.
Listen to this audio as Mike discovers a new topic, and what to do with it to create his first ebook, and make some big bucks online.
NOTE: The audio recording is pretty poor quality. My good mic was broken, and Mike’s has an echo. That said, the content is stellar, and powerful. And if we ever have a private consultation together, I would expect a similar transformation for you, too!
Here’s an index of the audio…
01:35 Mike’s topic
03:32 Gary Halbert’s Restaurant
06:11 Yahoo Answers
06:11 Find a hungry crowd
09:43 Do Your Marketing First
13:09 Thinking like a Marketer vs…
14:02 Your Ebook’s Back end
18:32 About Writing a sales letter
After listening, discuss this audio on the Forum here.
Enjoy

How to Make a PDF (and save $290)
February 21, 2009 by Mark Widawer · 2 Comments
You’ll probably want to publish your ebook as a PDF file…and chances are, you’re thinking that you’ll have to buy Adobe Acrobat Professional to do it.
Let me caution you…you CAN get Acrobat if you want to, but you’ll be spending about $300 to get the software. Yes, Adobe invented the PDF format, but they aren’t the only game in town.
This video will show you how to convert your Ebook from MS Word format to PDF format using Adobe Acrobat. But then I’ll also show you how to use some other software that costs only ten bucks, but does the same thing.
And finally, some people like to lock their ebooks with a password. We’ll talk more about the pro’s and con’s about that later. But for now I’ll show you how to lock your PDF file with a password with both pieces of software.
