How to Make a PDF (and save $290)

February 21, 2009 by Mark Widawer

You’ll probably want to publish your ebook as a PDF file…and chances are, you’re thinking that you’ll have to buy Adobe Acrobat Professional to do it.

Let me caution you…you CAN get Acrobat if you want to, but you’ll be spending about $300 to get the software. Yes, Adobe invented the PDF format, but they aren’t the only game in town.

This video will show you how to convert your Ebook from MS Word format to PDF format using Adobe Acrobat. But then I’ll also show you how to use some other software that costs only ten bucks, but does the same thing.

And finally, some people like to lock their ebooks with a password. We’ll talk more about the pro’s and con’s about that later. But for now I’ll show you how to lock your PDF file with a password with both pieces of software.

Try viewing the page in Firefox, Safari, or Google’s Chrome browser.
IE is having issues with this site. I’m also going to see if I can find some other way to present the videos so that there is no problem with IE.
But in the meantime, just try another browser.
    Sorry for the trouble.
